Dave is founder and leader of the band not by his own will. "I think the other
members want to have someone to look to, they feel more comfortable with that".
After several years of performing. Dave has accepted that role.
Dave has performed with other bands in the area for years and founded Stagger
Lee in 1988. Dave most recently played in an acoustic rock trio for the past 5
years. He feels very comfortable in Stagger Lee with two other accomplished
guitarists to help carry the load on guitar, which frees him for more vocal work.
Dave plays a '79 blond Fender Stratocaster as his number one guitar and a
vintage '62 Sunburst Stratocaster as his backup. He plays through a vintage '67
Fender Bass-man amplifier through a Mesa Boogie guitar cabinet. A very unique
sound is his, somewhat on the Eric Clapton sound that Dave grew up on.
Dave lives in Youngwood. He is married to Melissa and has a daughter, Hannah.
